17 декабря Европейский союз утвердил третий пакет санкций против Белоруссии в связи с «продолжающимися репрессиями против гражданского общества». В санкционный список было внесено 29 новых имен и 7 предприятий. 18 декабря к новым санкциям присоединилась Великобритания.
