The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Havana, Nana Mgeladze, said that Russian tourists were not injured when the plane collided with birds in Cuba. His words are transmitted by TASS.
"Representatives of tour operators informed us that the incident occurred yesterday. No one was injured, all the tourists were placed in hotels while waiting for another plane. Now they are already on their way to Moscow, " the diplomat said. According to her, the consulate has not received any appeals or complaints from Russians.
On September 24, it became known that the plane that took off from the Cuban Varadero to Moscow collided with a flock of eagles during acceleration. Due to the incident, the flight had to be postponed.
The footage posted on the internet, taken on board the aircraft, shows a passenger liner traveling along the runway at high speed. You can see how a flame flares up under the wing every few seconds, after which the carcass of a bird flies away from the plane.
