Гражданин Эквадора, обвиняемый в контрабанде и незаконном сбыте семи килограммов кокаина, выдан России компетентными органами Испании. Об этом сообщает ТАСС со ссылкой на пресс-службу Генеральной прокуратуры.

«Зарубежные коллеги по запросу Генеральной прокуратуры РФ выдали для привлечения к уголовной ответственности Кортеса Кинонеса Франсиско Шавье. Он обвиняется в совершении преступлений, предусмотренных пункты "а" и "б" части 4 статьи 229.1 УК РФ (контрабанда наркотических средств организованной группой в особо крупном размере) и части 5 статьи 228.1 УК РФ (незаконный сбыт наркотических средств организованной группой в особо крупном размере)», — сказали в ведомстве.

По версии следствия, как отметили в Генпрокуратуре, в октябре-ноябре 2018 года гражданин Эквадора Кортес Кинонес Франсиско Шавье совместно с соучастниками на теплоходе Baltic Autumn, следовавшем из порта южноамериканского города Гуаякиль в Санкт-Петербург, провез семь килограммов кокаина. Впоследствии наркотики были сбыты на территории России.

В ведомстве добавили, что после совершения преступления мужчина скрылся от правоохранительных органов и был объявлен в международный розыск. В июне 2020 года обвиняемого задержали в Испании. Тогда Генпрокуратура направила зарубежным коллегам запрос об экстрадиции гражданина Эквадора, который в феврале 2021 года был удовлетворен.
